Education is tomorrow’s forest protection, and MCL has had a strong commitment to environmental education since its beginning in 1986. We currently have two staff members dedicated exclusively to environmental education and community involvement: one in the communities on the Caribbean border of the Children’s Eternal Rainforest (near La Tigra de San Carlos), and another in the community of Monteverde. 

As part of our commitment to environmental education, we also participate in various activities, fairs, and conferences in the communities surrounding the BEN and in other parts of Costa Rica.
