The Children's Eternal Rainforest is an invaluable scientific resource, as it contains a large area of ​​intact tropical forest, encompasses 7 life zones across broad altitudinal gradients, and protects important biodiversity, including populations of endangered and endemic species. For these reasons and more, the BEN is an excellent area to study a wide variety of topics. Encouraging and promoting scientific research in the Children's Eternal Rainforest is an important strategic priority for the Monteverde Conservation League.
